Units from Station 31 responded to a reported gas odor in a commercial structure at 1230 S Cedar Crest Blvd. at 1006 hrs.Crews determined the odor originated from a malfunctioning elevator motor and ventilated.
Station 31 and Station 20 Fire Police handled a reported passenger bus fire on I-78 WB at MM 55.3 WB at 1842 hrs. on 25NOV. Crews ensured the small fire in the vicinity of the rear wheels was extinguished and worked to move the 26 passengers from the highway.

C3104 and TK3131, with a crew of six, responded to a working fire in District 32 this evening around 1900 hrs. Personnel remained on scene for approximately one hour prior to being released.Photo credit to Nester Video Production
At 1153 hrs., Station 31 handled a reported outside gas odor in the vicinity of 3200 Capital St. While UGI and fire personnel were metering the area, it was determined the smell originated from a deceased groundhog inside a plastic bag in a residential backyard.
At 0724 hrs., C3101 and E3112 responded to a truck rollover with fire and possible entrapment on I-78 WB MM 54.6. C3101 arrived to find a fully involved box truck with negative entrapment. E3112 arrived and promptly extinguished the fire.
C3102, E3111, and TK3131 responded to a carbon monoxide alarm in the 1800 BLK of Nottingham Rd. this morning at 0957 hrs. Crews quickly determined the alarm resulted due to a faulty detector, not an actual air quality issue.
Units handled a residential carbon monoxide incident this morning in the 1000 BLK of Debbie Ln. C3101, E3112, and TK3131 remained on scene for approximately thirty minutes while levels were returned to normal ranges via ventilation.
C3102 and BR3161 assisted Station 20 this morning in the 1600 BLK of E Emmaus avenue for wires down at 0710, and returned at 0934 as tree servicemen came across a minor brush fire in the vicinity, after PPL Electric de-energized the line.
